Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026
1. Information We Collect
Account information: When you register, we collect your email address, username, and password (hashed). You may optionally provide a bio.
Activity data: We store your predictions (votes), market proposals, evidence submissions, reputation scores, and badges earned on the Platform.
Usage data: We may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited for security and debugging purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to: (a) operate and improve the Platform; (b) calculate and display reputation scores and leaderboard rankings; (c) send account-related communications (email verification, password resets); (d) detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms; (e) comply with legal obligations.
3. What We Do Not Do
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes. We do not share your email address publicly — only your username is visible on the Platform.
4. Data Sharing
We share data only with: (a) our infrastructure provider, Supabase, which stores and processes data on our behalf under their own privacy policy; (b) law enforcement or government bodies when required by law; (c) successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice).
5. Public Data
Your username, prediction history, reputation score, rank, and earned badges are publicly visible on the Platform. Market proposals you submit become publicly visible once approved. Consider this before submitting content you wish to keep private.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, though anonymized aggregated data (e.g., vote counts on markets) may be retained indefinitely.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Cookies
We use session cookies necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from signing in.
9. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. If you are in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
10. Children
The Platform is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-platform notice. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
